Paint: the must have range…

Paint: the must have range…

No matter what models our enthusiasts collect, everyone needs paint and tools to prepare their models for gaming and display.

The Citadel Colour range is the premier paint miniature range in the world, and our trading partners know this as the majority of you stock our paint lines for all the business benefits they bring to your store offer, both for Warhammer players and indeed for other hobbyists looking for the very best paint on offer.

Games Workshop supply a number of options for stocking paint; and now is the ideal opportunity to review your paint offer and ensure the paint options for your customers are the very best they can be. Having the paint range in your store brings the following benefits:

-Signing up to a range means you receive free racking, plus additional ongoing marketing benefits.

-A substantial part of retailer’s Games Workshop sales come from the paint range.

-Paint products are at low price points for easy and consistent add-on sales.

-All of your customers’ painting and modelling needs are displayed in one place.

-These products have a broad appeal to all painters, modellers and hobbyists, not just Warhammer enthusiasts.

-Provide consistent turnover throughout the year.

Please speak to your sales representative who will be happy to help you decide which is the best range for you.

Citadel Colour Paint launch

New Release Date: 16 July (with an extended pre-order period)

The latest Product offer:

Paint Makes Warhammer, and this summer’s paint launch from Citadel Colour is no different.

The majority of the great range stays the same, making now the ideal time to invest in the best range for your store offer, indeed we have a number of offers available over the launch to help you ensure you can get the right range for your store.

The range is expanded to offer 25 new Contrast Paints, the all-time best seller new type of paint launched in 2019 (so popular we ran out for months at a time after launch). In addition there’s an entirely reformulated Shade Range – including 7 all-new colours. We finish off with a new undercoat (specifically for use with the new Contrast range additions in mind).

Originally launched three years ago, Contrast Paint revolutionised how your customers painted their Warhammer miniatures. Three years on, we’re looking at expanding that initial offer to include some of the most vivid and vibrant colours ever. Providing huge selection of greens, blues, yellows, purples, reds, oranges, and more, this new range offers an extravaganza of colour for your customer’s miniatures. These new Contrast paints (all 18ml pots), include:

Magmadroth Flame (29-68), Baal Red (29-67), Doomfire Magenta (29-66), Dreadful Visage (29-65), Sigvald Burgundy (29-64), Luxion Purple (29-63), Leviathan Purple (29-62), Stormfiend (29-61), Celestium Blue (29-60), Asurmen Blue (29-59), Pylar Glacier (29-58), Frostheart (29-57), Briar Queen Chill (29-56), Kroxigor Scales (29-55), Imperial Fist (29-54), Bad Moon Yellow (29-53), Ironjawz Yellow (29-52), Striking Scorpion Green (29-51), Karandras Green (29-50), Gutrippa Flesh (29-49), Aeldari Emerald (29-48), Mantis Warriors Green (29-47), Ratling Grime (29-46), Garaghak’s Sewer (29-44), and lastly, Black Legion (29-45).

We’ve also improved the existing Hexwraith Flame and Nighthaunt Gloom Technical paints to benefit from the ground-breaking science behind Contrast.

With vibrant, in-your-face, colours dominating the new Contrast range additions, it was important to ensure those paints have the best possible undercoat to be applied on to, and so we are also releasing our brightest undercoat of the modern era, with White Scar spray. (which also replaces Corax White spray). Following in the footsteps of Wraithbone and Grey Seer sprays, White Scar spray has been developed to provide a perfectly flat and smooth surface onto which painters can apply any of their new Contrast paints, and as it’s our brightest undercoat, it’ll also provide the very best base for your customer’s miniatures when they use Contrast colours.

The Shade paint range has also taken advantage of improvements in paint technology, using technology from the latest Contrast range, into our Shade paint range. Making this new and improved reformulation of shade paints the best Shade Paints we’ve ever made. The new Shade paints do exactly what they did before, but better.

The new, reformulated, range of Shade paints still contains all 12 of the colours you already know – with Nuln Oil (24-14), Reikland Fleshshade (24-24), Agrax Earthshade (24-15), Biel Tan Green (24-19), Athonian Camoshade (24-21), Drakenhof Nightshade (24-17), Seraphim Sepia (24-23), Carroburg Crimson (24-13), Casandora Yellow (24-18), Druchii Violet (24-16), Coelia Greenshade (24-22) and Fuegan Orange (24-20) and has also been expanded with the addition of 7 all-new colours.

These are: Kroak Green (24-29), Poxwalker (24-30), Targor Rageshade (24-31), Mortarion Grime (24-32), Tyran Blue (24-33), Berserker Bloodshade (24-34), and Soulblight Grey (24-25)

All offered in 18ml pots, and the old formulations of Gloss Shade paints (Nuln Oil Gloss, Agrax Earthshade Gloss, Reikland Fleshshade Gloss and Cryptek Armourshade Gloss) are leaving the range.

Taken together, these new additions to the Citadel Colour range means that the range is the best it’s ever been, making painting the easiest and more accessible than ever before. More details can be found the Warhammer Community website, with our Citadel Colour announcement article here:
