Kill Team: Hivestorm launch’s the new edition of Kill Team!
On the brutal planet Volkus, elite teams clash in covert operations to secure objectives and eliminate critical targets, and this product contains everything players need to play; including rules, exciting new miniatures, urban terrain and universal equipment.
Brand new to this edition, is that the game now supports co-operative and solo play!
The boxed set contains:
11x Tempestus Aquilon miniatures; 11x Vespid Stingwing miniatures; 1x 112-Page Kill Team Core Book (softback); 1x 72-Page Hivestorm Dossier (softback); 1x Kill Team Core token sheet containing 92x Double-sided tokens; 1x Combined Kill Teams token sheet containing 55x Double-sided tokens ; 36x Approved Operations cards (with 3x leaflets); 1x Game board; 10x D6 dice; 14x pieces of Killzone: Volkus Terrain; and 1x Kill Team Upgrade: Equipment Pack containing 30x pieces of equipment.

The two included Kill Teams are brand new miniatures; with each Kill Team consisting of 11x multi-part, multi-option, plastic miniatures. The elite Tempestus Scions deploy via grav-chute and excel in close quarters combat, while the menacing Vespid Stingwings wield vicious weaponry designed by the T’au.
As the setting of Kill Team moves to the planet of Volkus, a new Killzone is provided consisting of a new game board and a combination of new and existing pieces of urban terrain. Other miniatures content includes the Kill Team: Upgrade Equipment Pack which provides universal equipment for use with any Kill Team in the game.
The boxed set includes 1x 112-page Kill Team Core Book and 1x 72-page Hivestorm Dossier book; covering both the Kill Team Core, and Hivestorm specific, rules. This edition supports co-operative, multiplayer and solo play, thanks to its brand-new Threat Principle mechanic which introduces non-player operatives. The set also provides a core token sheet and a combined token sheet alongside 10x dice.
For players looking to play ‘matched play’ games, Kill Team: Hivestorm includes the Kill Team Approved Ops Card Pack. This pack of 36x cards and 3x leaflets provides the most balanced and up-to-date way to play, particularly for competitive formats such as tournaments.
The new edition in relation to existing products and collections:
At launch, a host of existing Kill Teams will be repackaged with specific new token sheets. This includes several Kill Teams that had yet to receive their standalone release in 2nd Edition. Rules for these Kill Teams will be available to download online for free, but will also be available to purchase as a physical Datacard pack. These packs provide a collection of quick-reference Datacards, helping customers keep all their team rules in one place and speed up their games.
The following Kill Teams will be repackaged and available to purchase at launch, along with the supporting Datacard Packs: Hernkyn Yaegirs; Nemesis Claw; Mandrakes; Brood Brothers; Scout Squad; Kommandos; Blooded; Corsair Voidscarred.
Customers will be able to download free rules for 33x Kill Teams at launch, ensuring every Kill Team in 2nd Edition can be used in 3rd Edition straight away. The edition will also support Killzone Gallowdark, and Killzone Bheta-Decima at launch. Therefore, existing customers with an established terrain and team collection may look to purchase the Core Book, Approved Ops Card Pack and Upgrade Equipment Pack. These will be available to purchase separately alongside the launch of Kill Team: Hivestorm.
