Business Update – COVID-19

Over the last few weeks, we have communicated a number of updates on how Games Workshop has responded to the COVID-19 outbreak in order to safeguard the wellbeing of our customers and staff around the globe. 

The health and safety of all our customers and staff is our top priority, and over the past few weeks, we’ve been carefully following all advice and guidelines from relevant authorities. Following exceptional efforts from our health and safety and warehousing teams, and in compliance with local policies, we are now able to reopen some of our distribution centres. Therefore, we’re delighted to announce that we will begin to resume shipping products to our trading partners soon.

In order to return to normal operations while following health and safety guidelines, we’ll have to stage our capacity. This means, at least in the initial period, there will be some changes to our service in terms of product range and delivery times.

Your Account Manager will contact you as soon as possible to discuss this update. In the meantime, please bear with us – our lines are very busy. 

In recognition of these difficult times, we would like to show our appreciation of your continued support, so we have an exclusive miniature (in limited numbers) we’ll be providing to you at no charge! This limited exclusive miniature, the Astra Militarum Catachan Colonel, is only available to our trading partners, and we will contact eligible retailers after our warehouses reopen.

In addition, as only a limited time is left for those on the Stockist Programme to utilise their Marketing & Promotion support, we’ll be rolling your budget over into the next year to allow you to use this to help to drive your business forward. Again, your Account Manager will provide more information.

We understand this is a difficult time for everyone, and we appreciate your support of our efforts to protect our customers and staff and help slow the spread of the coronavirus. We recommend that retailers follow all their local government guidance, and we applaud those who are inventively engaging with social distancing guidelines by pursuing such options as curbside pick-ups and deliveries for their loyal customers.

For those of you engaging your customers through social media at this time, we’ll be continuing with our enhanced content offer on Warhammer-Community.com to help keep our fans, and your customers, excited. There are new hobby articles every day and a free live stream on twitch.tv/warhammer each weekday (from 4pm UK time). You might find it helpful to point your customers to this content; we’re keeping it positive and a lot of our fans are enjoying a hobby-oriented diversion at this time.
