Preparing for Long Term Success

With the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 being announced, it’s time to start thinking about how you can take advantage of the influx of customers and how to satisfy their voracious appetites for fun! There are three things to keep in mind when deciding how to tackle this exciting challenge.  What products to stock, when to stock them and how to display them for maximum exposure.

The sheer amount of products available for stores to stock can sometimes seem overwhelming. Inventory creep is a very realistic concern and no one wants slow moving products on their shelves. Luckily we have you covered! Our Account Managers are equipped to tell you what the best selling products are in the Trade range. The Best Sellers Foundation is the core to all new collection sales, for new customers and established hobbyists. After that there is Box200a and Box 200b. These are the next best selling miniature boxes for fleshing out collections. Along with new miniatures, everyone is going to need more paint, modelling supplies and glue to make their armies truly unique to them. Now that you know what the best selling products are, when do you stock them?

The answer is now! Customers will already be purchasing new boxes for the new edition to get a jump start and be ready to play when the new edition launches. As we get closer to the launch, demand for all miniature boxes will increase exponentially. Ordering as soon as possible will give you better chances of keeping your shelves stocked and full for the wave of sales you will experience. So now that you have the best selling products, how do you display them for maximum sales?

The first step is making sure your products are in a prominent position that is easily accessible to everyone. The boxes should be organized neatly and by faction (Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks,etc). Keeping them together by broad categories (Imperium, Chaos, Xenos) will help your customers locate what they are looking for. The next step should be to create some signage that gets your customers hyped about the new edition. Simple signs like “The New Warhammer 40,000 is coming! Reinforce your armies for victory!” create excitement and get customers thinking about picking up new units.
